The Drygate brewery team of Jake Griffin, Edward Furmston-Evans and Alessandra Confessore have been exercising their experimental side, getting creative in the Studio and have designed, brewed & bottled seven brand new beers.  The Studio Kit is designed for getting adventurous, at only one-tenth the size of the main brewery, beers can be created in as little as four hours.

Ed Evans says of the new beers; “For the first batch we decided to really push the boundaries and go as big as [we] could in regards to flavour. These seven beers are exciting and have really allowed us to show off and bottle our skills. The creative process here is never ending, so having access to experiment like this on the Studio Kit is a luxury very few other brewers have access to.”

The new brews can be found at the brewery bottle shop, so keep your eyes peeled for the following:

AgamemmnonAgamemnon BPA (4.4%)

Dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin gives Agamenon a full fruity aroma.  This beer balances the herbal, spicy characteristics of Belgian yeast against a bitter and dry backbone.

Forelsket (4%)

Forelsket beautifully balances a ready, brioche like backbone with flavours of summer stone fruit and marmalade.  It is crisp, clean and delicately bitter.

RIN Stout (8.8%)

An incredibly rich and complex malt behemoth of a stout, with a rich yet smooth mouth feel. Notes of coffee, cocoa and toasted flavours are balanced by hints of treacle and molasses.

Inevitable Conclusion (9.9%)

An incredibly bitter double IPA with huge explosions of hop aromatics from a complex blend of American and new world hops.

The APA’s dry and bitter start gives way to flavours of grapefruit and citrus peel.

Chimera (5.9%)

An IPA-lager hybrid, which balances a clean, malty lager backbone with the full, fresh hop aroma of a complex American IPA.  Citrus and herbal notes on the nose lead to a balanced synergy between malt and orange peel flavours.

Yaldi IPA  (7.5%)

A well balanced IPA with a grapefruit and orange on the nose and tropical fruits with slight grapefruit pith on the pallet.

Limited Ed Studio Brews

And check out that artwork! Those labels have got to be some the best out there. Big, bold, fun designs to match the individual character of the brews, all from the mind of the brewery drayman and Glasgow illustrator, John Felix. Make sure to check out his website for his original, full designs

All seven limited edition beers can now be purchased from the Drygate bottle shop.
