EAT: Beer Caramel Sauce

IT’S PANCAKE DAY! So here’s a quick recipe for Beer Caramel Sauce to smother your pancakes with. Or anything else for that matter, this recipe is for life, not just for pancakes.

You’re gonna need:

▪️330ml Beer (I used Westmalle Dubbel)

▪️60g Golden Brown Sugar

▪️60g Butter

▪️Half Teaspoon of Vanilla Essence

▪️Pinch of Salt

▪️150ml Double Cream 

Method:

▪️Pour all the beer into a pan and simmer for 15 minutes

▪️ Add in the sugar and simmer until it dissolves

▪️Add the butter and whisk in until it’s melted in to the mix

▪️Simmer for 35 minutes

▪️Add salt and vanilla

▪️Take the pan off the heat and add in the cream, keep whisking until fully incorporated. Return pan to the heat for a couple of minutes and when the sauce coats the back of a spoon, you’re good to go!
